Shoe & Dancewear Requirements
Below you will find the footwear and dancewear requirements for each technique. All shoes except Lyrical, Pointe, and Irish shoes will be available for purchase at the studio. Please have all required footwear and dancewear by the week of October 19th.
BALLET – Footwear:Students with ballet shoes size 3 ½ and smaller need Pink, Capezio Daisy Ballet Shoes
Students with ballet shoes size 4 and larger need Pink, Sancha, Canvas, Split Sole Ballet Shoes
Dancewear: Leotard and tights – Dancers may also wear skirts or ballet type shorts. |
POINTE – Footwear: Pink Pointe Shoes
Dancewear: Leotard and tights – Dancers may also wear skirts or ballet type shorts |

TAP – Footwear: 1st-3rd Grade Dancing Fair Brand Black Patent Leather Tap Shoes
4th Grade Black patent leather tap shoes with a GRADUATED HEEL AND TELETONE TAPS.
5th&6th Grade – ½ hour classes need Black patent leather tap shoes with a
graduated heel & teletone tap
1 hour classes need Liberts Brand Black, Split Sole, Jazz Tap Shoes
Dancewear: In addition to those items listed in the Ballet section, dancers may also wear fitted cami tops and jazz pants. |
JAZZ – Footwear: Dancing Fair Tan, Gore Boots
Dancewear: In addition to those items listed in the Ballet section, dancers may also wear fitted cami tops & shorts over their tights. During colder months, students may wear jazz pants. NO pajama pants or baggy clothing items. All students must also have knee pads for class. |
DANCELINE – Footwear: Black, Split Sole Jazz Sneaker – Please note other shoes will need to be purchased for recital. These sneakers are used in class for arch support and cushioning, while allowing dancers to point their toes. However, these are a little too clunky for performance.

LYRICAL– Footwear: Pink Leather Elasto Splits
Dancewear: Leotard and tights – Dancers may also wear skirts or ballet type shorts. In addition, all students must have knee pads for class. |
NOVELTY – Footwear: Gore boots or Jazz Sneakers
Dancewear: In addition to those items listed in the Ballet section, dancers may also wear fitted cami tops & shorts over their tights. During colder months, students may wear jazz pants. NO pajama pants or baggy clothing items. |
HIP HOP – Footwear: Tennis Shoes
Dancewear: Any dancewear of the student’s choice. |
IRISH – Footwear: Please see the instructor for specific Irish shoes needed for your class.
